Give your 3D prints superior performance without the hassle of complicated printing with our red HTPLA filament, made in Canada. Combining the ease of printing with PLA and the heat resistance of a technical material, this 1.75 mm filament on a 1 kg spool is ideal for durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing parts.

  • Colour and format : Bright red, diameter 1.75 mm (±0.05 mm), 1 kg roll.
  • Material : HTPLA – High crystallinity PLA which offers better mechanical and thermal stability.
  • Heat resistance : Tg of approximately 85 °C unannealed; increased resistance after annealing. By annealing, the parts gain heat resistance and dimensional stability.
  • Easy printing : Prints like standard PLA on most FDM/FFF printers without enclosure or specialized equipment.
  • Locally manufactured : Made in Canada, for reliable quality and fast availability.
  • Ideal uses : Functional prototypes requiring thermal resistance, end parts exposed to heat, wear or sunlight, jigs, tooling, as well as educational and research projects.
  • Protection and quality : Vacuum packaging with desiccant to protect against moisture.
  • Annealing process : To release the full thermal potential, preheat an oven or water bath to 80–100 °C, place the piece on a flat surface (or in water for uniform heating), anneal for 20–30 minutes, then allow to cool gradually to room temperature.
  • Printing tips : Extrusion temperature 210–230 °C; bed 60–70 °C; 50–100% fan after the first layer; enclosure optional to promote layer bonding.
  • Usage tips : Moderate shrinkage and slow cooling for better adhesion between layers; if deformations appear during annealing, support the pieces with sand or salt; store the spool in a dry place.

When your project demands more than standard PLA, choose our Canadian HTPLA. It combines the ease of printing of PLA with the robustness and thermal resistance of engineering-grade materials, for functional, durable parts ready to withstand thermal stresses.
