Give your 3D prints superior performance without complexity with our red HTPLA filament, made in Canada. Combining the easy printing of PLA with the heat resistance of a technical material, this 1.75 mm filament on a 1 kg spool is ideal for durable, functional, and attractive parts. Color and format: Bright red, 1.75 mm diameter (±0.05 mm), 1 kg spool. Material: HTPLA – high-crystallinity PLA that offers improved mechanical and thermal stability. Heat resistance: Tg of approximately 85 °C non annealed; increased resistance after annealing By annealing, parts gain heat resistance and dimensional stability. Easy printing: Prints like standard PLA on most FDM/FFF printers without an enclosure or specialized equipment. Local manufacturing: Made in Canada, for reliable quality and fast availability. Ideal uses: Functional prototypes requiring heat resistance, end-use parts exposed to heat, wear, or sunlight, jigs, tooling, as well as educational and research projects. Protection and quality: Vacuum-packed with desiccant to protect against moisture. Annealing process: To unlock the full thermal potential, preheat an oven or water bath to 80–100 °C, Place the part on a flat surface (or in water for even heating), anneal for 20–30 minutes, then let it cool gradually to room temperature. Printing tips: Extrusion temperature 210–230 °C; bed 60–70 °C; cooling fan 50–100% after the first layer; enclosure optional to promote layer bonding. Usage tips: Moderate retraction and slow cooling for better layer adhesion; if warping appears during annealing, support the parts with sand or salt; store the spool in a dry place. When your project demands more than standard PLA, choose our Canadian HTPLA. It combines the easy printing of PLA with the strength and heat resistance of engineering-grade materials, for functional, durable parts ready to withstand thermal stress.
